This year, the Fall Musical is “Little Shop of Horrors”. This is the first time AHS has put on a Fall Musical since the production of “A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum”. The lead role is Seymour Krelborn, played by Seth J. (12).

Seth said, “My favorite part about being in ‘Little Shop’ is the family connection that the people in the cast develop.” Seth has acted in many plays and musicals in AHS as well as other theatres such as the Renaissance Theatre in Mansfield.

Seth said, “People should come see this because it’s hilarious. It will make you laugh, get scared, cry and you’ll be singing all the songs as you walk out of the theatre.” Seth can be recognized from his roles in other AHS productions such as Robertson Ay in “Mary Poppins” and Pinocchio in “Shrek the Musical.”

Seth’s advice to anyone who wishes to be involved in theatre or acting for anything in any way is to go for it. Seth said, “If you want to do it, just do it. And practice. Be prepared and don’t let people discourage you. Do not listen to haters.”

This year is Liam H.’s (10) first year to be involved in an AHS production. Liam is the student director. He said, “I became the student director because I thought I would be better suited helping everyone else instead of being on the stage.” Liam’s responsibilities consist of running rehearsal when Richard Wasowski is not present, running lines with the cast and any extra help that may be needed around the theatre.

Liam said, “If anyone is thinking about trying out or becoming involved in any productions at the high school, definitely audition.”

The productions of “Little Shop of Horrors” is November 10 and 11.
